“There is an alleged discrimination against minorities in distribution or humanitarian aid”’ said Mr. Rizwan Paul of the advocacy organization, Life for All. He further said, “Christians in severely flood-damaged areas in Punjab Province have been neglected. The majority of effected Christians in Punjab are in Marowal, Shakargarh,m Muzzafargarh, Rahim Yar Khan and Layyah.”

Although the Christians living around Maralla, Narowal and Shakargarh have been shifted to the U.N. administered relief camps they are still facing problems in the camps. There are reports that Christians are not given tents, clean water and food, in most of the camps, Christians have been totally ignored. Life for All complained to the U.N. agencies and the government of Pakistan regarding discrimination, but no one has yet responded.

Additionally, Mr. Paul stated that, “there are reports from Muzzaffargarh and Layyah that the Christians are living on the damaged roads in temporary tents, as they are not allowed in government camps.”

Even before the flood, Pakistani Christians faced discrimination, torture, murder, jail, rape and hardships. It is hard to imagine, but all of these atrocities occurred in the name of religion. Our Lord mentions in John 16:2 “…a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering a service to God.”

As fellow Christians we would urge you to support your Christian brothers and sisters in Pakistan, who have lost everything and are in desperate need of tents, food, water clothing and medicines.

In Matthew 25:35, our Lord talks about those in need, “For I was hungry and you gave me to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in …”

Please prayerfully consider donating to assist the flood victims in Pakistan by clicking on then Donate button below and in the note section of the donation page designate your donation is for the flood victims in Pakistan.
