Rev. Khurram Medhi Khan
Rev. Khurram Khan was born in Pakistan where he was raised in a Christian home. After marrying, he took a job as an engineer with an American oil company in Saudi Arabia where he worked for over 14 years. In Saudi Arabia, where even taking a Bible into the country is a criminal offense punishable by six months in jail, he attended underground church meetings. Eventually, he moved his family to Canada where he prepared to do the Lord’s work. Here became acquainted with the newly formed mission society, People of the Book Lutheran Outreach. Both Rev. Khan and his wife Cynthia, joined POBLO as missionaries in 1995. Rev. Khan attended Concordia University in Fort Wayne, Indiana and was ordained in 2006. He now serves as the Executive Director of POBLO International in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” |

Lisa Liggett
Lisa Liggett came to Poblo in 2002 to be the director of Dearborn Christian Daycare Center. She has been teaching young children since 1994 and has found that directing a childcare center is another way to reach children and families. Children have a way of touching our hearts and being part of their young lives is a privilege. Dearborn Christian also allows us to reach out to the community and spread the wonderful news of Jesus. Teaching in a Christian environment is a blessing. Lisa also is a member of NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) and has a degree in Early Childhood Education from Schoolcraft College. “Let the children come to me – for to such belongs the kingdom of God” Luke 18:16 |
